Call for Projects 2/26

The Computing Centre of the Slovak Academy of Sciences announces a new Call for Projects 2/26 for standard access to the national HPC infrastructure. The call enables researchers to gain access to the Devana infrastructure and the new PERUN system.

The call is intended for computationally demanding projects across all scientific disciplines that demonstrate scientific excellence, innovative potential, and the ability to effectively utilise the HPC environment.

The following computational resources are available within this call:

  • Devana CPU: 22 million CPU core-hours
  • Devana GPU: 83,220 GPU-hours
  • PERUN CPU: 35 million CPU core-hours
  • PERUN FAT CPU: 11 million CPU core-hours
  • PERUN GPU: 800,000 GPU-hours

The PERUN supercomputer represents a new generation of HPC infrastructure, significantly expanding available computational capacities and enabling more demanding simulations, large-scale data processing, and, in particular, the training and optimisation of large artificial intelligence models.

Applications for computational resources may be submitted by researchers from Slovak public universities, the Slovak Academy of Sciences, and public sector institutions. Access is provided free of charge for non-commercial research activities.

Projects will be evaluated from both technical and scientific perspectives, while the scientific evaluation will be carried out by independent external reviewers.

The call is open from May 4, 2026, until June 1, 2026 (5:00 PM CET). Approved projects will begin using the allocated resources from June 16, 2026, for a period of one year.

Applications can be submitted via the user portal:
